Privacy Policy
This policy applies to the Trapframe Contributor Ledger (this platform). It is separate from, and does not replace, the privacy policy of the main trapframe.studio website. Where the marketing site collects almost nothing, this platform necessarily holds account and payout data, because its job is to record contributions and pay the people who make them.

Who we are
The platform is operated by Trapframe Studio LLC, a Colorado limited liability company (the "Studio", "we"). It records contribution points and models revenue share for the Studio's projects, including Noosphere and the SIMN engine.
What we collect
- ·Account identity. If you sign in with GitHub: your GitHub handle, numeric user id, avatar, and the email on your GitHub account. If you sign in by email: your email address.
- ·Profile. A display name, and any bio or avatar you set.
- ·Payout and tax details. Only when needed to pay you: your legal name, country of tax residence, and a payout email. These are used to issue tax forms (for example 1099-NEC or 1042-S) and to make payments.
- ·Contributions. Metadata about merged pull requests (which is already public on GitHub), and the files, titles, and descriptions you upload as asset submissions.
- ·Activity records. Point proposals, approvals, awards, and similar actions, kept as an audit trail.
What is public and what is not
The contribution ledger is public by design. Your display name, GitHub handle, point totals, the projects you contributed to, and the rationale recorded for each award are visible to anyone.
Your private details are never shown publicly: legal name, email, country of tax residence, payout information, and the files inside your asset submissions (which are stored in a private bucket and shared only with reviewers through expiring signed links).
Cookies
We set a single authentication session cookie so you stay signed in. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies, and we run no third-party analytics on this platform.
How we use your data
- ·Operate your account and gate access (new accounts are reviewed before approval).
- ·Attribute contributions, compute points, and run revenue distributions.
- ·Pay contributors and meet our tax and record-keeping obligations.
- ·Keep the ledger correct, auditable, and tamper-evident.
Who we share it with
We share data only with service providers that run the platform on our behalf (our database, authentication, and file storage provider, Supabase; and, when payments begin, a payment processor), and with tax authorities or filings where the law requires it. We do not sell your data, and we do not share it for advertising.
Retention
Ledger entries are an append-only financial record and are kept permanently. Records that support payments are kept for at least seven years, consistent with the Contributor Royalty Agreement. If you ask us to close your account, we remove your profile and private contact details, but your past ledger entries and the obligations attached to them remain.
Your choices
You can view and correct your profile and tax details from your dashboard, or by asking an administrator. To request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, contact us using the address below. We will respond within a reasonable time and as required by applicable law.
Security
Access to the authenticated area requires sign-in and administrator approval. Submission files live in private storage. The ledger is hash-chained so any tampering is detectable. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your data.
Changes and contact
We may update this policy; material changes will be noted by the date above. Questions or requests: jon@trapframe.studio.
